Local Boulder influencer Lauri Hughes, CPM shares how her work as a candy striper in Seattle inspired a career as a doula and eventually a home-birth midwife 20 years later. Her journey has led her to 3 continents where she has attended over 350 births. Through Community Roots Midwife Collective, families across the socio-economic spectrum have access to home-births in Boulder County. Lauri describes the typical home birth, encourages nursing moms to join the Collective’s “Milk Circle” and takes us to Bali for her favorite birth story.
